Our Commitment
The Birmingham Veterans Hall (BVH) is committed to…
- Treating veterans with compassion, dignity, and respect
- Leading efforts to house all veterans and their families
- Showing appreciation for the military men and women who serve our country
- Creating an environment of belonging where all veterans are welcomed
Veteran-Friendly Environment
BVH soon will unveil plans to develop 60 housing units for low-income veteran housing. The organization will offer housing and a childcare center for veterans, as well as a community space open to the public.
Currently, chapter members also lead veteran-to-veteran volunteer efforts that include donating 13,500 servings of soup to New Directions for Veterans, and delivering canned goods, sandwiches, clothing and more to homeless veterans living on the streets.

Special Events Honoring Veterans
BVH honors the memory of servicemen and servicewomen by hosting special events that are open to the community. These events help raise awareness about the important role of and sacrifices made by those who serve in the military.
At these events, members of the broader community learn about and engage in traditional military traditions and customs of historical significance.
By hosting events that are open to the community, BVH veterans create awareness about and generate community support for veterans’ causes.
